An IRS approved 501 c 3 tax exempt foundation whose mission is to is to increase public awareness of corneal dystrophy, a potentially blinding disease affecting the transparent front part of the eye. The foundation provides instructional brochures, on line support groups and symposia by highly competent corneal specialists to those who need these services.
 

Recording for  the Blind & Dyslexic®

Read about Anne T. McDonald, who created the foundation, originally called “Recording for the Blind” in the attic of the New York Public Library to provide ‘talking books’ to the returning blind servicemen from World War II so they could continue their education.

The foundation provides not only books but low cost readers for the visually disabled
 

The Fuchs’ Dystrophy Website

A worldwide, grass-roots group of almost 2000 people afflicted with a genetic corneal dystrophy. Offers support, information and patient-referrals to some doctors. The site also offers many links to sites related to vision and health.

Included are tips for low vision living and computer use.
